Here is How Confident Captain Works

Hands on training with Confident Captain
consists of a seasoned Safe/Sea rescue boat
Captain coming on board YOUR BOAT at
YOUR DOCK and teaching you everything
you need to know to enjoy your boat with
safety and confidence. Our instructors will
help you develop the skills required to handle
your boat in close quarters and while cruising
on open water. There is no time limit on your
instruction. Your Confident Captain instructor
will work with you for as long as you need.

A Greeting from the President

As you know, a day on New England Waters is an excellent way to spend leisure time. The 14 years I have spent rescuing boats in New England has allowed me to see so many of the different ways that boaters can enjoy their sport. Rescuing boats, however, has also taught me many of the biggest mistakes a boater can make.

All too often I have seen a family go from enjoying their day off, to ending up at the end of my towline, aground, sinking, or just frustrated from all the nerve-racking navigational situations they had been exposed to.

As I developed my concept for Confident Captain, I emphasized a program that would teach boaters not only to be safe and stay out of trouble, but also to be able to optimize the enjoyment of their boat due to the seamanship skills learned in my program. These skills will give you the confidence that gets you safely there and home. After you complete one of my programs, I can assure you that you will be able to head out on the bay with confidence and head back for home knowing you will dock your boat skillfully.
